Geoengineering: Playing God with the Climate

Dear Students,

The DLS Team has the pleasure of inviting you to our next conference on the subject of Geoengineering and its prospects for the Earth’s climate. It will take place on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013, in the Red Lecture Room of the SciencesPo Paris – Campus de Reims (Place Museux, 51100).

Our lecturer will be Australian author and public intellectual Clive Hamilton. A Professor of Public Ethics at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics, a joint centre of Charles Sturt University and the University of Melbourne, he is based on the Canberra campus. He holds degrees from the University of Sydney and the University of Essex and has held visiting academic positions at Yale University, the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. A Member of the Order of Australia (AM), he has previously been a Greens candidate and was appointed by the Australian Federal Government to the Climate Change Authority in 2012.
