Dear Students,

The DLS Team is delighted to invite you all to our next conference: Rotten Summer or Climate Change? Intelligence Policies in Contemporary Democracies, which will take place on October 2nd, 2013 at 5:30 PM in the Big Lecture Room (Place Museux).
Our lecturer for this conference is Mr Philippe Hayez.
Mr Philippe Hayez is currently teaching at PSIA of Sciences Po, on intelligence policies in democracies and will talk to you as the coordinator concentration on intelligence policies. His focus is on their efficiency as well as on their legitimacy, through a comparative approach.
In his lecture, Mr Hayez wonders if Snowden’s revelations were only a punctual and isolated episode, or if they show an actual change in public opinion vis-à-vis intelligence.

This lecture is a great opportunity to debate recent events and wonder how much freedom we are willing to give up for our security.

We are all very excited and cannot wait to see you all there next wednesday! Do not hesitate to contact any of us for more information.

Best,
The DLS Team
